Gravity has lost its Sense of Direction
I work closely with my husband, the film maker and photographer Michael D. Uzielli.
We are constantly on the look out for ready-made abstract art, whether the garish colours used to highlight repair work on a wooden walk way, a door where countless finger marks create a rich painterly surface, or graffiti on aluminium hoardings.
I integrate photography with painting and oil pastels on acetate and we use techniques that create common ground between photography and printmaking. Photography also enables me to manipulate scale and colour in interesting ways.
